My husband and I discovered SolAire Homebuilders while researching Bend and Northwest Crossing in particular. We set up a meeting during our first trip to Bend. The prospect of buying or building a net zero house appealed to us both in terms of quality and sustainability. After meeting with SolAire and touring Northwest Crossing, we ended up buying land with the plan to have SolAire build us a custom net zero home. Although we have yet to move in, our home is finished and the process though long (our choice) has been relatively easy even though the majority was done via email and phone calls. We've been in our new (award-winning!) SolAire home now for 2 months and we love it. We looked at a LOT of homes in Bend, and the quality of the SolAire construction and finishes was just flat out better than everything else we saw. Our new home is certified both Earth Advantage Platinum and Net-Zero Ready (we're working on adding Solar in the coming months), so we feel good about buying an eco-friendly, efficient home.
