The things that they are doing to people are criminal. The maintenance that they use, metro maintenance, is also owned by Benton Moss, which should tell you most of the time your issues take forever to be addressed and they don’t get resolved properly. If you’ve got evidence, and if you can take the time to figure out exactly how, take them to court. It’s been two weeks of me needing to use heat to get the apartment up to 68 and heaters at the same time. Metro Maintenance has responded to this issue on three separate occasions. For four consecutive days, the heating system ran continuously but did not raise the temperature above 68 degrees, regardless of the thermostat setting. I am extremely dissatisfied with this company’s leasing and application process due to unprofessional behavior, inconsistent communication, poor handling of multiple applications, and discriminatory treatment. We applied on January 13 after explicitly asking if the property had any pending applications and being told there were none. Based on that, we toured the home and submitted our application the same day. After several days without updates, we contacted the office and were told the leasing agent responsible for the property was out and would return on Tuesday (the office was closed Monday). When we called Tuesday, we were told she had just returned and would be working our application that day, with a decision expected the following day (Wednesday). This exceeded their stated 3–5 bus

Writing here, because we currently have no plumbing, and after 3 messages to their after hours line (which is never responded to, but hey, gotta try), sewage was backing up all over my childrens' bathroom floor, where a toilet was left uninstalled (toilet is on my front porch, sewage line open in the bathroom), and uncapped. This is after alerting them to the issue (toilet falling through the floor), almost a month and a half ago. Repair guy finally showed up last Monday- said he'd be back later that morning or the following day... he showed up yesterday. This is standard though. I have NEVER had anything even close to a prompt response, and then the work isn't proper. The company before them was the same. It is illegal to leave your tenants in uninhabitable dwellings. I just wanna provide an update. Currently, it is taking 2 1/2 months to fix issues. Landlords legally have 30 days…….. I’ve been asking for a new fridge because I’ve been losing groceries for 2 1/2 months and I had to mention legal action in order to get someone to come look at it same day. They don’t provide 24 hour notice for maintenance issues. And I put on every maintenance request. Do not if I’m not home. The last time they entered, my door was left unlocked putting all the things in my home at risk. I’ve been paying $40 a month for Internet, that they never fixed despite me telling them that it only worked in the kitchen. I was promised as a resolution and it never happened.
