Scribe Residential Management

Moved into a 2018 home in east Austin last month. Three days after, several things were broken. Doorbell doesn't work, alarm system sensor kept going off, mildew in the air filters which obviously haven't been changed in years, no lights in fridge and freezer, lightbulbs broken. Scribe asked for several emails and photos before sending people out.

My experience with Scribe was extremely frustrating as an Owner. They wasted my time and money, failed to follow key parts of the contract, and consistently demonstrated poor communication. Getting clear answers or updates was a constant struggle, and when they did communicate, it was often incomplete or delayed. What made things even worse is that my tenant also expressed strong dissatisfaction with how the property manager handled issues. Instead of simplifying the process, they created more problems for both of us. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend their services to anyone looking for reliable, transparent, and competent property management.

Scribe Residential Maintenance was frustrating to work with. They were slow to respond and often failed to fix issues properly, requiring multiple follow-ups. Dealing with Tristin at the front desk was especially difficult—they were consistently rude and unhelpful, making me feel like a nuisance for asking basic questions. While other staff members were friendly and professional, Tristin’s attitude significantly soured my experience. The situation became so problematic that I informed the property owner, who ultimately fired Scribe and brought in a new management company. The difference was immediate—responsive, efficient, and professional service. I do not recommend Scribe Residential Maintenance to anyone seeking reliable property management. This company is the worst. Tristian actually hung up on me mid conversation. I requested to deal with someone other than them and they hung up. We haven’t resided at the property for 6 months but since we were locked in a lease we maintained the bills and yard. We also left a bed and a some other personal property on site. On the last day of possession we attempted to enter the property but the deadbolts were locked and the garage door would not open so we were unable to enter the property to retrieve our things. We attempted to call them but were forwarded to a recently departed employees phone (who also was not happy with this company). Very difficult to work with. Can never seem to answer questions clearly. If you scribe residential management is leasing the property, RUN! Not worth the trouble.
