Apartment itself isn’t horrible for the price but I regret the move. Apartments have MICE and very thin walls. My neighbor is up all hours of the night and I can hear every conversation, tv, music, etc. Also it’s a smoke free building per the lease but it always smells like smoke and other substances. I am patiently waiting the end of my lease! I’ll pay more for a peace of mind and rodent free apartment.

I lived here for eight years. First, This building is deceptive in appearance as it looks to be recently renovated, which is true, however, the fact is that it was done poorly and cheaply and is falling apart. There are leaks, water heaters going out, and paint that is so thin when you wipe it you can see the drywall paper underneath. This is not to mention floors and walls with little to no insulation so your neighbors below hear everything and you can hear everything of your neighbors. Second, the building has a major rodent issue resulting in mice everywhere. This is compounded by the fact that there are major gaps between the walls and the floor which essentially allow to travel from apartment to apartment. First let me start by saying...I was very appreciated for SCF MGMT, LLC allow me to live/rent at 'The CourtYard at Constitution NE DC I rented for 20 months. Monthly Rent:over $1600.00 This is my review what it was like when I move in . One of knob for the stove...not working, No Infor / manual on how to use the stove and dishwasher, the rinse sprinkler was damage, toilet needed to be replace, Smoke Detector malfunction 19 times before it was change, I caught 11 mice, dogs were allow to run free, two apartments were rented for AirBnB...the guest had problems getting in those apts. Most of the residents were nice & friendly. It had a mail room for package delivery...but, a key was needed for FedEX & UPS. Maintenance repairs & response scale 1-5 it's a 3 I was there for 1 da

This property looks great from the outside and the units look shiny and new but they are poorly constructed. The walls are very thin, I was woken up several times in the night due to hearing the people above us having sex. Complaints never seemed to get us anywhere. I lived here for a year and in that time we had mice and a broken water heater. We had the apartment exterminated dozens of times but when we finally asked for a contractor to come in they refused. When our water heater broke it took 15 days for us to get Mr. Ford to have it replaced. The property manager Patricia (Stan's wife) has to be one of the most incompetent people I have ever met. Our emails of concern were often unanswered or took days for a response, where she often seemed to be confused or unclear about our problems.

I enjoyed living on the property. Stanley the manager was always on top of taking care of the tenants and the property. Whenever you would call with maintenance issues they were there with no problem. I wish that I could afford to stay here but my circumstance had changed. Miss them so much. If they should ever have any rentals within my income range I would definitely rent from this company.
