Scarlet Oak Village Apartments

One month the A/C work the next month it stop working I brought an A/C unit to keep cool. Every A/C unit you see outside is somebody A/C that went out.Every other day the water going off. Don't get me started on the roach infestation. I also seen a mice in my apartment I had to buy sticky tape for. They also only have 1 maintenance man for these whole apartment. If you're blinds get broken it's $75 per blinds.The gate stay broken.

Called to ask questions for clarification of stuff that wasn't on the website and the receptionist was super rude, said it was there and hung up. If they treat people who are looking for a home like this I would hate to see how they treat residents.

I should've listened to one of the tenants when she opened the gate for me the week before I moved into the apartment. She asked if I lived there I said no I'm moving in. Her words to me was dont do it. Now I see why she said that. I lived there for 2 years and the whole 2 years was a horrible experience. Unit 21 is full of problems. Starting off the day I was suppose to move in, contractors was fixing the floor in the upstairs bathroom and left the toilet in the tub. A couple months of living there came along several problems. The property manager that was there tried to get things fixed. I constantly had the same issues in the apartment and they so called maintenance patched it up til they couldn't anymore. Went to tour an apartment and was ran off before even meeting property manager or viewing apartment! The property manager “Brittney” had an appointment with me for 2:30pm on Feb 22, 2024. I was in front of the office parked at 2:25pm and was waiting to receive my tour. I was approached by who I now know is the maintenance man of the apartment complex who came banging on my window of my car. “What’s up man you need any help here?”. - Me “No sir, just waiting for the property manager so I can take a tour”. I continue waiting. He approaches 2 more times to my window and the last time I got so frustrated that I told him that he is annoying me and that I am simply waiting for a tour and don’t wish to be bothered. I've lived here since 2014. I've had an exceptional time here. Apartments are very comfy and spacious. The location suits everything and everyone. The manager is the best and the maintenance crew is also great even on call for 24hr service. I love it myself. A true peace of mind I call home. Thanks Scarlett.
