If the real estate industry had an Olympic team, Josh and Leighton would be gold medalists. Because of life's curveballs, our family has needed their help several times to buy or sell a home. At our most recent closing, we tallied up the number of houses and realized they had navigated us to our eighth closing! This last one was by far the most challenging. Our house was listed last October, when interest rates rose to around 8%. A month later, we experienced a flood caused by our cat turning on the spigot of our laundry room sink for several hours, an event henceforth known as the CATastrophe, causing us to remove the listing for two months for repairs.
