If you trust this community with your loved ones BEWARE. My mother has been there for over a year and when she had shown signs of a stroke the recreational director called the ambulance while playing bingo on THEIR property. Since this incident nobody has called me. (I’m her emergency contact on the leasing paperwork). I found out two days later from another resident! I live across the country and When I came to get her belongings the manager BARBARA named called me and said I was rude when speaking to her colleague, all because I asked her why no one called me under these circumstances. Guilty much? She said they don’t have to do anything because it’s independent living. So why do you have an option to list an EMERGANCY contact that on your paperwork?! My mother has been staying at this community for over a year and had signs of a stroke while playing BINGO. The ambulance was called and my mother was transported to the nearest hospital. My sister is her emergency contact and she was NEVER contacted!!! TWO days had gone by and we found out from a neighbor of our mother that she had been admitted!! My sister called the facility and no one helped her. Instead they gave her a hard time about retrieving my mother’s belongings. We all flew in from different states just to be disrespected by Barbara. She named called my sister and tried to straighten her about speaking to her employee in a certain manner.
