Royal Homes of NC

I have really enjoyed my experience with Royal Homes. I love that you can meet the builder at closing and I love that they hand you all the documents you would ever need at closing. As a realtor, it’s really important to me to have open, straight forward communication for my clients. I want my clients to be completely satisfied with the house that they purchase and royal homes helped me do that.

What started as a good experience has ended badly. Went under contract May 2024 and was told my home would be ready in 6 to 7 months. In August 2024 still nothing done on building the home. All I received was excuses and everybody else was at fault in the delays. It's now March of 2025 and they gave a closing date for the end of March. But in early February could no longer wait and had to find something else. No longer had trust in this company. The owner/ceo seems to have no concerns about how long I had to wait for my home or the problems that it caused me. Not willing to give my deposit back even though they did not live up to their promises.

Derrick is very knowledgeable and thorough. We now feel very confident about our home purchase.

Very rigid people. Bob Woodward is hard to be trusted. They don't have a fixed schedule of when the homes do get ready, but when it is about to be ready they won't give you any extra time I'll give you any flexibility to shop around for good interest rates. Moreover the agents mislead you saying that hope we can make this changes but at the same time they let other changes from other buyers. I did not have a good experience working with them.

We bought a new construction home with Royal Homes 5 1/2 years ago. We are currently contemplating building a new home with more land and no HOAs. If we could get Royal Homes to build our new home, we would do it in a heartbeat! The absolute best! My son built his house with another builder and the quality and service was awful! SOOOOO different to what we received from Royal Homes.....
