Royal Gardens Apartments at Kingston

Since my girlfriend moved in here, we experienced headaches, severe congestion issues and flu-like symptoms. When we switched the filter for the hvac we noticed huge chunks and extremely filthy blowerfan ( underneath the filter) They sent in their workers to vacuum clean it without heppa cleaner, spreading all the crap and allergens even more which made our symptoms worse. It took several months of negligence from the landlord / maintenence to finally clean it, however, they didnt clean the main component,- the blower fan. The cleaners who cleaned the ducts / vents said the blower fan needs to be cleaned but they were not qualified for it. The maintance stopped responding about having it cleandd despite acknowledging the system needs cleaning. We contacted code enforcer and they issued the

Since I couldn’t express my concerns to management and was diverted and deliberately kept away from speaking with management I’ll leave this extremely honest review. The lady that does the leasing Laureen is extremely unprofessional. Any good reviews she has must be from person people she knows because that women any time me or my fiance spoke with her she was extremely rude, condescending, Had an attitude, and seemed extremely judgmental. I don’t know where she gets to even have any room to be judgmental. Me and my fiance are very put together, wise, respectful people. The few nice things I can say about this place is convenient location and nice neighborhood around the area other than that nothing else good about this place. There was mold in the apartment from the previous tenant below us that we are pretty sure seeped into our apartment.Very outdated and increased our rent to almost 2,000 without updating a single thing. The worst thing I would say would have to be the other tenants we had a crack smoker below us smoking in the apartment practically hotboxing the place with kids in there mind you. Nothing was ever done the walls were so thin that we couldn’t even use our bathroom without a respirator mask unless we wanted to smell crack and smoke. The website sucks lol there are a couple other apartment complexes that have this exact same website. they are all laughably over priced and outdated. Especially given the area. And DOUBLE especially if you've ever been inside these apartments and realize they 100% do not look like the website. This was low income housing 10 years ago. Now it's 1900 a month. Pfft .
