It was such a blessing to work with Cameron, of Roy & Company, while purchasing our home! He was patient and calm while still acting fast, when we needed it most. He always had our best interest in mind and his genuine honesty and integrity shined with each conversation we had, allowing us to trust him throughout the home buying process. Unfortunately, our experience living at Moonstone was not great. Move-in was simple and straightforward, but within 2 weeks of moving in (October 2024), a hurricane flooded the entire first floor with over 3 feet of water. As a result, we lost 90% of our belongings and were left with just our bed upstairs. Our renter’s insurance didn’t cover the damages, and while we informed property management, they never followed up. We were displaced for over a month, yet were still required to pay full rent, even though the unit was unlivable—our kitchen, washer, and dryer were unusable while the entire downstairs was gutted. Roy and Company, wasn't the original property management team for our previous rental, but they were an improvement. Taking over mid-lease is never easy, but they handled the transition smoothly, keeping communication open with us via email and text. One of the most noticeable improvements was their maintenance service—issues were not just patched like before. Further more,  they continued the resident benefits package that included yard service, air filter replacements, and renters insurance, as well as, also being pet friendly. Although the property owner ultimately decided to sell, Roy and Company were very understanding of our situation.
