It is so bizarre to me that RowCal responds to reviews and in what would appear to be a thoughtful manner. Yet dealing with them as a homeowner is a much different experience and it's anything but thoughtful. It's sending "friendly reminders that all chose to live in an HOA", we know that. But we all thought the HOA would do it's job. It's telling the whole community that responding to a violation with "Done" is unacceptable and a picture is required. Except, no where anywhere ever has that been said, written, or done until the emails author had a bad day and whipped out that email. The RowCal I know pretends that it's residents are the problem when are legally required meetings are only happening every few years. It's them and our board members knowing our members dropped from 5 to 2 for

Jerry Aguilar from RowCal Property Management just completed a framing replacement around my garage door opening. The frame behind the drywall had completely rotted out and wouldn’t hold the garage door rails. He and his helper replaced the framing, re-dry walled, re-caulked and repainted. They did it all in one day, re-installed the garage door and everything is working perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for a better job done in more timely manner. They respond to reviews suggesting you email feedback@-- but they don't reply, even after following up with them. The links for owner financial documents on their portal (and maybe other links too) don't work and they don't post meeting minutes. When asked about them from a year ago, they give you no-answer answers and say they're online, but they're not. It seems they don't want to admit they didn't abide by the bylaws, didn't hold meetings or take notes. There are other reviews that state this. Read them.

No, this review was not left on accident. P.s., many if not all of the positive reviews are from Board Members, not regular homeowners. I recognize the names mentioning our PM. RowCal has unfortunately been the most untrustworthy property management experience I have had thus far as a well-meaning homeowner. Their accounting should not and can not be trusted in the least. Their record keeping is horrific, and their lack of accurate communications have significantly failed me as a homeowner. (Details below if readers desire) Property Managers are generally cold and uncaring, respond to far less than half of any emails sent, ignore members during community meetings with similar complaints or concerns, and blame inadequacies on the fact that "they have many different properties to manage". If there was a way to give them 0 stars, I would do it. Do NOT recommend this company. We switched to PioneerBeck and they hid from us the fact that they were selling out to RowCal. Customer service is available by e-mail but they don't hold the managers accountable. Every few months there's a new manager whose contact info isn't shared with owners. Meeting documents don't get posted on HOA website & maintenance cases often remain open for months.
