I am writing a complaint regarding the way my housing application was handled by Peabody Properties over the last six months. Throughout this entire process, I was repeatedly misled, inconvenienced, and ultimately denied housing in a way that I believe was unprofessional and potentially unlawful. I worked with Peabody for over six months and was consistently told that I was approved and moving forward. I was asked multiple times to bring in the same paperwork more than five times and I complied every time. Based on the information I was given, I moved out of my previous home under the understanding that I was approved for one of their units. This place is a joke They only care about getting their rent Place was filled with toxic mold and my family had to move out. Yes I got the unit inspected myself Black mold extremely affected our health and we now have lifetime health issues I had to pay all moving expenses by myself Then they had the nerve to try and bill me When you have mold in your place the management supposed to pay the moving expenses Not a dime offered to me To make matters worse my friends unit got flooded and they offered her my old unit Clearly she did not take it due to black mold and brown running water she had to move to a hotel with her children that she is paying for How inhumane is that Many people complained of their rent going missing My sister had 2 bats in her unit O

Absolutely, horrible place to live They management does not take care of the property at all !!! The whole building is falling apart along with alot of other toxic things. On Oct 3rd my whole unit flooded from ceilings to floors in every room at 1:55 am I was woken up to the sound of it pouring !! Ruined all my children’s and I belongings !! Disgusting, dark brown, rusty smelly water from the unit above me. Management was made aware I went down there same day at 1:30 pm in the after noon to Address it and she did nothing I asked to come see my unit and she didn’t budge I showed her video and she said oh I didn’t know it was that bad.
