I love my apartment but there have been ongoing issues in my building. I've asked multiple times for the hallway to be power washed to no avail. The people above me constantly through plant debris off their balcony which lands on my patio. Which I have sent pictures of to the rental office yet it's still happening and clearly hasn't been addressed. I've been locked out of my garage for over a week with no response from maintenance. The dumpster area is always disgusting. I haven't even lived here a year and I'm super disappointed.
Where do I start..... I just moved here on 11/7/25 & oh what a travesty that was. I'm going to keep it simple DON'T COME HERE!! I just moved here and ready to leave. Once this one year is over with, I'm outta here!! It's a shame I had to clean my own apartment of cobwebs, dead bugs, spiders and dusty counter tops, a dity tub and water constantlyrunning in the toilet. . Not to mention the installation of the dishwasher, Ray Charles & Stevie Wonder could've done a better job. It's bad when you have to file a complaint and you haven't been there a full 24 hrs yet.
I’ve been living in this apartment for many years. Before it was a nice place and now it’s a nightmare living here. There have been new people who have moved in and has been leaving there trash outside and play loud music. When i’ve had to go to the office to ask for help or to get something fix the people in the offices have been very rude and they don’t pay attention to anything I have to say. Including the manager is ride when it’s the person who is expected to help us in anything. They are new people and the people we had before were much more nicer. It’s truly sad how it has changed. A couple weeks ago I went to go to the office because I got married and I wanted to add my husband in the list and no one in the office could helped me. Moving into River Forest has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. From the very beginning, we were assured that several issues would be resolved before move-in, yet that promise was not honored. During our initial walkthrough, we noted that the dishwasher did not work, the fan in the first bathroom was broken, and the freezer’s ice maker wasn’t hooked up. We immediately informed management and were told these issues would be addressed before our lease started. Unfortunately, that never happened. On the very first day of moving in, we discovered that the AC could not keep the apartment cool. Set at 70, it never went below 79 degrees. The following day, we realized the microwave was broken, and after a long day of moving, we found out the water heater wasn’t heating at all—
The staff changes monthly so nothing gets done. The rent went up $400 this year. Plus they add in about $100 new extra fees. Including an illegal mandatory Comcast cable fee $75/mo they collect each month for Comcast . They go through great lengths to hide your water bill in an additional “community fee” they added that changes every month. You never know what your rent will be. Repairs take weeks and often are improperly done. Repair requests are ignored or cancelled by them with no action or communication. I have been trying to get my front door repaired for 6months. When mine was broken this was their temporary replacement (yes it’s a backwards door). SMH . They supposedly ordered a door over 6 months ago but won’t come to fix this.
