River Crossing Townhomes

Stay away from this complex and save yourself the headache. There are a million reasons not to live here, but here are a few: POORLY KEPT, OLD BUILDINGS. The townhome units are very old, have poor insulation, and have all sorts of maintenance needs that are intentionally ignored to save money. There are gaps by the entrance doors, in the windows, and in the walls that allow outside air to creep in. At the peak of winter, I was unable to warm up the apartment to anything higher than 58 degrees, even with a space heater. CONSTANT MAINTENANCE ISSUES. From the moment I moved in, there were a number of significant maintenance issues. The day I moved in, one of the toilets spilled gallons of water after I tried to see if everything was working. No one ever came to replace the nearby carpet or a

Horrible ownership. They kept my deposit after dealing with their negligence to answer my work order requests. This complex has been falling apart for years… I know this because I spent 10 years here. Water leaks, mold, hazardous balconies, car break ins, mailbox break ins, YOU NAME IT! Do not move here, they will not take accountability for their issues.

Update as of 8/24: The additional problems are still unresolved aside from the AC. Still experiencing leaks from upstairs, have hanging cabinets, leaking toilet, etc. Update as of 8/14: After exactly two weeks the air conditioning system has been repaired. Still waiting for the additional repairs/maintenance to be addressed. Update as of 8/5: The property manager (Ben) has addressed the problems below and has assured me they will be resolved promptly. After checking in on me multiple times today, the shower problems have been fixed, our major appliances have been installed, and a temp AC unit was installed for the master bedroom. The air conditioning and a few of the smaller problems should be resolved by the next couple of days, and the water damage should be worked on this upcoming Mon

"This would've been a truly 5-star place for me if maintenance was done better" Neighborhood looks beautiful, having a backyard is great, the place is very spacious and you are very close to downtown Austin! But getting someone to fix something something that was broken before moving in or has broken down during your lease, is the hardest thing in the world! it would take months, many phone calls, many maintenance requests and still may not get fixed because per lease agreement, everything is apparently "amenities". The dryer that was broken for 2 months, right after moving in, was an "amenity". The patio that we were warned not to use upon moving in, was an "amenity". I recently just moved out and I don’t recommend the property. 1. After move in you will no be able to easily communicate with leasing agents or maintenance. 2. Even upon requesting appointment times for maintenance they show up at random times without notice. 3. Volleyball court, grills, light fixtures, and fences are not maintained. 4. Several homeless people explore property due to central location. 5. My unit’s backyard had left over items from previous owners (drink cans, bike racks, pots etc.). 6. My unit had structural damage (cracks in walls, uneven floors, unhinged doors, gaps in flooring Overall my stay here was below average however I will give the property kudos for a spacious unit and fast response during original leasing process.
