Ritz Colony

This place is disrespectful with customer service they don’t care at all about mail I had orders delivered here as a past resident that’s in the military constantly moving and the office representative said “We don’t keep mail or track where it goes go ask the person that stays in your old apartment is they might have or seen it” how unprofessional is that? and the person that stays in that apartment reported a complaint of me asking and that’s when they cared to check for my mail they pick and choose when to care. DONT RENT HERE.

Avoid. A wave of unhappy residents recently moved out. Last year too. (detailed complaints and horror stories on Y,elp) The photos look good but when you visit in person you'll see it's old, wood rotted from termites, sued for toxic mold (google for "ritz colony apartments mold verdict") and front office lady is not too pleasant. Avoid.

Beware ! I lived at the Ritz Colony for around 12 years. I saw management come and go. When I moved out a few months ago I left the place very clean. The paint was old and the carpets were there when I moved in. But they decided to keep my whole deposit for cleaning and painting! Ridiculous! Beware because you will not get your deposit back.

I've been here 3 years and the place is great! Just 1.5 miles to Encinitas beach. There are tons of great shopping centers close by. Quiet safe area day and night. Very well maintained property as well. I like the floor plan set up in my apartment as well. Super friendly staff that runs the property.

No recommended. Loved this place, for the first week. Management is friendly. (well to me, anyways. seems other reviewers here had a different experience) Walls are thin, I can hear my neighbors, on both sides of me, talking. Which means my neighbors can hear me talking too (!!!) so I've been consciously talking at a low volume. If you're a new tenant, do know that once your one year lease ends, you'll be getting a hefty rent increase. This complex is old, dingy looking. No biggie, but management is often turning off everyone's water while fixing complex-wide plumbing problems. Parking lot is striped unevenly, some spots are large while most are skinny. So if you don't get home early to grab one of the super wide spots, you'll have to park in a skinny spot. (word of the day: door dings)
