Residence at Steele Road

I lived at this residence from 2022-2025. My partner and I loved living here. The apartment was in great condition, it had so much space and storage. We lived in building 2 with an elevator and on the top floor outlooking the courtyard. It was a quiet residence with respectful residents (no noise complaints etc.). My partner and I used the amenities available. He frequented the coffee machine before work, and I used the gym (and their Pelotons) and the pool often. We had lived in a similar building in Stamford, CT so we wanted a similar style of living when we moved to West Hartford. Fortunately, this surpassed our expectations. We lived at Steele for more than two years and for the most part enjoyed our experience. The location is convenient, the apartments are nice and the gym and pool are nice amenities. Some criticisms were the noise pollution created by overly frequent landscaping. This made it difficult to create a quiet work from home atmosphere. My biggest complaint was that after moving out we were informed that Steele would be charging us 2000+ dollars for alleged damage to appliances. When we asked for additional proof that damage had gone beyond normal wear and tear, their response was rude and dismissive. In the end they provided no explanation or proof for the significant charges. Sadly after this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend renting at Steele and would recommend people look f

I lived at the Residences for more than 7 years, and would still be there if I hadn’t moved out of state. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the apartments and community. Management, the folks in the leasing office, and the maintenance staff are all incredibly helpful and responsive. The entire property is clean, quiet, and well maintained, and the social events thrown throughout the year are a lot of fun. It’s clear that management takes great pride in providing a comfortable living environment for its tenants.

I loved moving into a brand new facility with a pool over seven years ago. Many positives have graced my tenure here. I don't know tons of neighbors, but those I know are caring and supportive. All are pleasant and despite size and number of dogs of all sizes amazingly quiet. If you like socials, the complex has offered book clubs, seasonal parties, food drives, and yoga classes taught by a resident. The maintenance people are very responsive. Landscaping is definitely a priority of management.

We have enjoyed living in this community for several years and would highly recommend it for many reasons. The location is ideal—a quiet neighborhood near Elizabeth Park and St Joseph’s University, with lots of places to walk, yet very convenient to West Hartford Center’s shopping and restaurants. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the gym and club room spotless. The property management and staff could not be more helpful and responsive to the residents’ concerns, and I have never had an issue with a maintenance request. Ample parking, bright and spacious apartments, and frequent resident events for socializing. We are so glad that we found our apartment here!
