I want to share my experience for anyone considering buying new construction here. After placing a deposit and signing a contract, I later learned during the pre-construction meeting that the lot I selected had storm drain easement on the property. This would have limited my ability to install a fence or extend a deck, which was important to me when choosing a lot. Before signing, I had been shown a different site plan that did not reflect these details, so this came as an unwelcome surprise despite me telling the representative from the beginning what I wanted to do with my yard space.
