I have been renting with Darla's office for the better part of 2 years now. Our home had a couple unfortunate spells with roof leaks, but her team was nothing less than excellent when it came to helping our family manage that process. They were timely in getting professionals to the house to correct the issue, they assisted us the entire way, and in doing so, it kept our rental home livable. I would highly recommend their team to anyone looking to rent in the area.

ABSOLUTE CRIMINALS. Highlights of their "management": -Tried to dishonor an eviction settlement ordered by the Multnomah Co. Court, claiming they “didn’t have the authority" to abide by court order. -Ignored maintenance requests for months, including 8 wks without a working fridge and months without a dryer until I threatened (3 times) to withhold rent. The eventual contractor insulted me to my face regarding the failure of appliances from 1996, saying that I was "letting the lid [of the washing machine] slam," which is why they alleged it broke. (The washing machine is stationed directly under kitchen cabinets and the lid of the washing machine does not clear the cabinets, so there is nothing that I could have done.) -Couldn’t agree on when rent was due, at various times claiming the 1s

Beware, their system for taking applications is faulty and they are not willing to be accountable. I took time out of my day to submit an application after the open period opened at 3pm. They stated, despite the fact that all three of my devices (that use satellite time and are obviously accurate), that I submitted the application too early and that I would have an 8 hour penalty. To clarify, my issue is not that they are abiding by the Portland law. My issue is that I followed the law to a tee and they are unwilling to admit this is their error and do what is needed to make it right.

Please do everything you can to avoid using this company whether you're a landlord or a tenant. They are unethical and honestly, I am shocked that no one has done anything to shut them down at this point. I believe we were scammed into renting the house we are in and that they are violating several tenancy laws and requiring us to live in unsafe conditions. In looking at other reviews, it seems our family is not the only one dealing with their shady business practices. The person who gave us our keys did not allow us to be part of the initial inspection and completely 'missed' BROKEN windows, BROKEN blinds, and other various issues. We have had issues with our dryer not working and damaging my clothing, they never cleaned the actual dryer vent in between tenancy and it was so clogged it w
