My wife and I found a two-family house on Zillow, located at 68 Cortelyou Ave, Staten Island, NY 10312. We immediately made an appointment with a real estate agent to see the house. Because my wife was obsessed with the 10312 school district, we matched their price of 838,000. We then made an appointment with a home inspector to inspect the house, and everything went smoothly when we entered the contract! The biggest flaw came out. This house was a one-family house from the beginning to the end, including the contract issued by the selling lawyer, which stated that it was a one-family house. Even if it had two kitchen meters, it was illegal. My wife and I had asked Miss Albee Lei countless times whether the house was a two-family house. She always said that it was 100% legal two-family. Their employee Simon Umanoff constantly calls my cell phone unsolicited to get me to sell my house. I have never asked for them to call me and I'm not sure why they feel the need to bother people who aren't in the market.
