Real Property Management Optimum

After three years of paying on time, following all lease agreements, fixing damages to the home MYSELF because service was not provided, they give me a $5 refund for my disposition. When I called to ask how any of the charges listed made sense or could accumulate to $750, I was laughed at and asked if there was anything else I could be helped with. I explained my situation and how I had to make repair by myself and was told “it was not up to standard”. I had to do it myself because they refused services so of course it would not be up to standard. They are humans that will come into your homes unannounced, do not care about their residents and have proved that over the course of three years. I am happy to never have anything to do with these people. You guys are a joke.

When I was given the move out instructions after giving notice of intent to move, it stated that since I had an ESA I was to hire a cleaning company to steam clean the floors(all hard flooring, no carpet) so I did what was required. The cleaning company cleaned and steamed everything. According to their walk through they spotted a few crumbs that was missed as well as a few other minor items. None that would justify them keeping 350.00 of my deposit. They said that my screens had a few holes in them that were actually there when I moved in and was never repaired or replaced. I will add also that prior to moving in there that place was not cleaned by a cleaning company. There are some individuals that run this company that are very deceptive. They seem all nice and understanding while you’re at the rental property, but when you’re done with their services they are rude and uptight. I asked multiple times about my security deposit refund multiple times through their texting service and heard nothing. When I called they said they were extremely busy and to keep calling everyday till they had an answer. They hadn’t even started it yet until a month and a week after I had vacated the premises. They only responded to me after I told them that if I didn’t hear anything I would seek legal counsel. My non-refundable pet deposit wasn’t used toward any pet damages. I own a house in Alexandria that is managed by Josh Boyer from Real Property Management Optimum. He has served of incredible help for me when things in my house need to be fixed. Because of my busy schedule, I can't be there to take care of the things that are needed in my property. Josh has been the one that takes care of everything. Really awful & disrespectful. The company sent Ed Jones to my door last night (Saturday) at 6:30 who knocked on and after no answer tested my door while my family and I were having dinner saying he was trying to come into take measurements (no notification that someone was coming or that he even worked for the company prior to his arrival and trying my door.) I called the police and he was made to leave. This isn't the first time the company has sent someone to my door without notifying me. I've rented from the owner of the property since 2019 and prior to Real Property Management Optimum taking over a couple months ago enjoyed my rental alway pay on time and follow all the rules.
