Prominent title is the worst. I’ve bought and sold many homes and never had such a bad experience. Most title companies are able to perform their basic and common sense duties. Prominent failed to do that and ended up costing me thousands of dollars due to their miscalculation of the tax credit due me by the seller. If you have a choice, I form your sent to stay away from these people.

Prominent Title Company was the company that the seller of our property negotiated to use. We bought in January of 2016. My husband was the only one on the loan but I was supposed to be on the title. During setting up closing, Julie and Prominent Title kept adding a similar spelling of my email address, but not my address to the emails instead of replying all to the correct email. This resulted in an individual that was not me getting private information multiple times. The individual, that we do not know, had to reply multiple times that they were not related to the sale. At closing, Julie had spelled my name incorrectly and incompletely on the title form (despite the multiple corrections). She told me to sign it anyway. After closing, we found that she had only put my husband on the tit
