We recently purchased a very old house that needed to be completely gutted and renovated. Our decision to use Chris was a bit unusual - in order to secure a renovation loan and mortgage we needed to have a contractor identified and loan papers signed in a very short period of time. Not knowing any contractors, I called Chris on a weekend and he picked up his phone, answered my questions and agreed to meet us at house to give his opinion. He kindly signed our papers the evening before leaving for a family vacation and we had no choice but to put our faith in him. He delivered! Chris at RenovationOne didn't just add on to our house, he added on to our home. He thought of everything that would be important to our family, even if it wasn't in our architect's plans, and made sure it was executed on professionally, timely, and on budget. He built a master suite, a bedroom/office and an upstairs laundry room above our garage and first floor back room. He and his contractors acted in a professional manner every moment of their time at our house and I trusted everyone on his team. Chris Barymow of RenovationOne is the quintessential building professional. I had a privilege to work with Chris on few projects, from small remodelings to major renovations. He is thoroughly knowledgeable in all aspects of residential construction, very attentive to details and a great communicator. On a personal level, I find him to be pragmatic, collective, and approachable. The quality of his work and service are hard to beat, not to mention the 2-year warranty which is double the industry standard!

We just completed a renovation with Chris Barymow and Renovation One. I often find when reading negative reviews that it sounds like people have an ax to grind. In this case, I'll simply state the facts. We installed a generator in our house, and Chris told us where it would be located. Unfortunately, his information was incorrect. Had we known this ahead of time, we would have wired it differently so it could be placed elsewhere. Unfortunately, by the time this was discovered, it was too late. He also told us that we would need a separate room for our electrical panels, and built this out, decreasing the size of a bedroom by a few feet.
