ONE WORD: SLUMLORDS. READ UNTIL THE END. If you value your mental and physical health you will not lease from Portola Biltmore. I was moved into an infested unit and for months they have been actively denying it and stated they have no intentions of decreasing rent or accommodating the decreased quality in life they have caused. They have no intention of actually fixing it and for 3 months have sent an exterminator who sprays, claims there is no real problem and leaves. For my entire duration of the lease from day 1 I have been unable to prepare meals in the kitchen because of the infestation I inherited. They are fully aware, and have done nothing realistic to make sure I am living in a unit free of contamination. In fact their lease has a clause that was not there upon signing saying I

DO NOT MOVE HERE. I highly recommend for your well being not to move here! The in office staff is great but the apartment complex is in horrible condition. Since day 1, I had issues. -My apartment wreak of cigarettes because my neighbor smoked in his apartment. I made multiple complaints and no change until 6 months later. My clothes and my belongings smelled of it. It was disgusting -I’ve had the maintenance guy go into my apartment without permission, no maintenance was scheduled or notice. I was informed by a neighbor -dangerous neighbors. I am not over exaggerating when I say that one of my neighbors would bring over multiple homeless people over who were strung up on heavy drugs. I have had someone passed at my door before. As well as them trying multiple times to get in my apartment

It has been over a year since I used to live in this complex. Yes the manager Amanda is absolutely an amazing salesperson that’s her job is to sale the unit to you. I had came across the map and moved into a unit that was infested with roaches so bad I could not cook in my kitchen I could not use the cabinets for storage I did not feel comfortable unpacking. We stayed in that unit for a two weeks and I went to the office and told her my issue and then emailed her which she was very understanding and moved us to a new unit. Which also had roaches but just wasn’t as bad as the previous unit. The property it self has so much potential and the neighbors were very friendly and we never had any issues. I live in this complex and everyone is friendly. The leasing office agent, Amanda, is very helpful and jumps right on any problems or questions you have regarding your apartment. They have many amenities which includes stainless steel appliances like the refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. They have a nice swimming pool and cabanas, on site laundry, personal covered parking spot, valet trash and a dog park and new barbecue area with a table to sit at and eat if you like. They also have a nice maintenance man, Juan,who can fix any type of problem you may have immediately. I would definitely recommend this is a great experience to live here.
