Playa Blanca Apartments

UPDATE...when we moved in-in May the complex showed improvements. It's almost November and it has gone downhill. The bathroom was redone with paint which is peeling significantly and your unable to get it cleaned. We have had severe issues with the transformer to building E. Our power continues to flicker, can't use more than one outlet to a breaker without it flipping, your fans speed up and slow down during bad weather. Another tenant nextdoor has had issues with the AC in her unit that has been diagnosed needing a new unit that the complex will not replace. There's rotting wood on the staircases, with mold and mildew. General maintenance isn't being kept up on lighting around the apartments. The corporate office hasn't made arrangements previous to knowing the maintenance guy is out for

there has been a lot of Good change since this complex changed ownership and I have never been happier to be a tenant here, The renovations are beautiful, I’ve yet to see a bug , and the apartment at move in was beautiful and clean. The lady in the front office is super patient and really easy to work with, And Brad and Jerry my two maintenance men are my favorite people.. They respond to my request requests fairly timely and they fix things that i broke 😅 so kudos

I really wish I had something good to say about this place. This hotel needs some serious help. A complete renovation. My husband and I stayed here on Memorial Day weekend and let's just say I didn't want to sit on the furniture, take my shoes off or use their blankets. Thank God I brought my own blanket and my own pillows. Online it says they have a swimming pool they do not! The remote didn't work the bathtub was extremely dirty and stained and the room smelled bad. The hotel sits in front of a small group of apartments that are very run down and shady looking and there is no barrier between the hotel and apartments. Looked at a couple apartments.. tbh the updated ones not too bad! Pretty small , no closet space in studio and a tiny closet (JUST ONE) in a 1BR JR (which is a little bit bigger than the studio, has at least a bedroom(again with no closet or anything) If you don’t make at least 3x the rent a month , don’t bother because they will deny you. Which is pretty dumb for such a tiny apartment for $1,114(Studio) and $1,174 for just a 1br jr. BUT there is one positive side here…you don’t have to pay for power/electric. Your preference though, this was just my experience with PlayaBlanca Apartments. Unfortunately, our experience at PLAYA BLANCA has been far from satisfactory. Upon moving in, we were pressured by the former leasing agent, Charlene, to pay a $1555 deposit and holding fee, only to discover she was allegedly skimming money from payments, 10 lease holders has confessed to this leading to her termination. The new leasing agent, Amber, has proven to be confrontational and unprofessional, especially when addressing our concerns over the phone.
