Pierpont at City Crossing

I lived here for over two years, and it is a very nice luxury apartment complex located close to the School of Medicine and within walking distance of New Haven Union Station—perfect for weekend or same-day getaways to NYC. The building has a great pool with grills and a deck, as well as a rooftop with amazing views toward East Rock Park. I own an electric car, and having a charger in the garage is extremely convenient. I also love hosting, and it’s very easy to obtain visitor parking within the building. One of the standout features is that it’s one of the few luxury buildings in New Haven with units that have true outdoor space, which is perfect for growing plants and placing a table with chairs. I’ve had a great experience living at City Crossing. The Pierpont staff has always been friendly, professional, and very responsive to residents. The building is well maintained and the location is very convenient. Overall it’s been a very positive experience.

You can't beat this apartment building. It is brand new, with a pool and a gorgeous roof top overlooking downtown New Haven. Everyone is friendly, but the apartments are quit (I work night shifts, so sleeping during the days was very important to me). It is conveniantly located, the train station is only a 7-minute walk, the hospital is a 9-minute walk, and the Green is less than 10 minutes away. The management and staff have also managed to create a real community.

This is the worst "luxury" apartment complex I have ever been in. There are over 200 apartments for which there are two elevators in the front. One of them has been broken for over two months at this point. The other one is sometimes booked for hours so that people can move in. Look at the images, each elevator has a note saying use the other one and no I am not joking. During those hours you basically have to use stairs. Imagine you live on the 5th floor; you had a long tiring day and as you come back you see both elevators are not working. Congratulations! You are paying a boatload of money(probably the most in New Haven) to have the privilege of climbing 5 flights of stairs now. It is worse if you have groceries and now you gotta go up. Living at Pierpont at City Crossing was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The team at Pierpont is truly top-notch—always responsive, thorough, and genuinely kind. Whether it was the leasing office, concierge, security, or maintenance staff, everyone went above and beyond to make our time there enjoyable. The maintenance team was quick to respond and handled everything, big or small, with professionalism and a smile. The amenities were another major plus. The gym, game room, common areas, rooftop and pool were never overcrowded, which made using them a real pleasure. The coffee machine was an huge plus!
