Peterson Station at Sunset Lake

I have had a wonderful experience renting at Peterson Station, from the application process, to moving in, to now being settled in my apartment. From the start, the office staff has been extremely communicative and responsive to any questions I had. The complex is beautiful and quiet, and I have a beautiful view overlooking the lawn and pool. The apartments are HUGE- yes, there is not an island in the kitchen, and there are no overhead lights (there ARE overhead lights in the bathrooms, closets and kitchen, just not the living room or bedrooms), and no pantry, but I bought a small table and chairs, I bought lamps that plug into the light switches and work just as good as overhead lights, and I bought a small storage closet for a pantry. The team at Peterson Station is amazing. From the leasing office to the maintenance crew, everyone goes above and beyond to make residents feel valued. Any issues I've had were handled quickly and professionally. The property is clean, quiet, and well-maintained. Couldn't ask for a better apartment experience!

I dodged a bullet with this one here. Because of the price I was willing to overlook how cheaply built this place is. During my tour I noticed no window screens, no lights in the living room or bedrooms(I was told you must install those yourself). There is no island in the kitchen, I noticed in both apts I toured the bathroom exhaust fan switch did not turn off(red flag I was told to put a maintenance request which is eh for a new apt). Safety is also a concern no locks in the building which is attached to the Irish pub, so anyone can wander into your building after a few drinks! As soon as I left the apt I was applying for which happened to be the lowest price($126 lower than what they are listing now) magically disappeared & I was not sent the link to apply for it. Applied to back in September, excited about the location and amenities. Got denied without much explanation, which is fine-life happens. But it’s been a month and zero refund on my $150 security deposit fee, despite their policy promising it back if not approved. Multiple emails and calls to management? Crickets. Super unprofessional and left a sour taste-steer clear unless you enjoy chasing your own money. One star, easy.

I would personally recommend anyone who likes a life of integrity and cleanliness to stay clear of this poorly built, poorly managed place. Our relative, a veteran, moved in here only to have to break the lease due to the problems not being fixed, in fact completely ignored, and for health reasons which lead to a hospital stay. They promised for weeks they would get his nonworking air-conditioning fixed. They put a portable air conditioner through the window that barely worked. It made a lot of noise, but it did not cool off the apartment. They never got the air conditioning working up until the day of breaking the lease.
