In an attempt to work with Penny Mac through customer support, my first grievance was trying to communicate with non English speaking representatives. I asked for a state side English speaking person and each Rep. claimed to be in Texas. Obviously, they were not. The second grievance was being told that they would not endorse my insurance claims check and send back to me, the full amount of check. Instead, THEY TOLD ME, they would endorse it and send me HALF OF THE AMOUNT of the check. They are holding up the funds that should be going toward my house repairs, for the contractor. They are taking it upon themselves to dictate payouts that have already been negotiated through my insurance company, the contractor and myself. Penny Mac is overstepping their boundaries big time. Loan process was extremely complicated for even a small amount. Then after receiving the loan I have received nonstop mailers claiming to be from PennyMac asking me to call urgently regarding a matter with my loan. When I do, it’s just trying to sell me mortgage protection. I’m receiving several phone calls per day trying to sell me protections or other loan products all referencing my PennyMac loan. I don’t believe your information is safe with this lender.

Less than a month after I purchased my home the mortgage was sold to Pennymac without my knowledge. The customer service sucks, DO NOT use Pennymac!!! If they somehow weaseled their way to get their hands on your mortgage, refinance with someone you trust immediately! I’m willing to pay the higher interest rates that the market is currently at for peace of mind.

We have been fighting to get our insurance claim funds released since May 2025. We have submitted everything multiple times. We are unable to get our new roof because of them. They are literally causing our property more damage. It’s been 5 months. Release the money so we can fix our house. I don’t understand why the company that holds the mortgage loan wouldn’t want to fix that property immediately .

If I could get a different lender I would. They constantly screw up payments and made an unauthorized withdrawl that overdrew my bank and caused a huge issue that took dats to fix and then blamed me for it. Then they reported my account as deliquent and I took a massive credit hit even though the account was current. Their app is garbage and is loaded with issues they never fixed. Their new automated syatem is terrible and they now charge an exorbant fee to pay online or over the phone. DO NOT use these people. If you have to take a loan through them find another way.
