Parkside at Mechanicsville

I’ve lived here for over 5 years now and it has not been pleasant at all. First, there are no security standards. The cameras do not work so don’t believe what they tell you also the security guards don’t work another thing there’s people coming in and out of the gate because the gates aren’t locked so there is no security. Your packages can be stolen. I’ve lived here and there’s kids in the hallways smoking, there’s shootouts and just no peace of mind at all. You have to basically call them in and call corporate and nothing still happens. I don’t understand why nothing is being done it’s not right to keep raising rent and the living standards are terrible. They fixed the outside but the insides are still terrible. Maintenance does not adhere to work orders at a reasonable time. It takes 6months to a year to respond and complete work orders. When they do respond to come out the performance of their work is sloppy and laziness. No genuine care in fixing things.The staff in the office keep rotating here and there you will not know who to contact unless you get up and walk to leasing to get information up close. They do not respond to emails! You can’t get no one over the phone no one answers!! Ms.Tyra, Ms.Aleta, Ms.Theresa, Mr.Lamar were the most patient, understanding, RESPONSIVE, caring people I met in 3 years living out here. Laundry door has been locked since I lived out here for those that have to wash with no transportation. And the cameras does not work, while kids play knock knock zoom on doo

First let me start off by saying that I’ve been living here for 9 years. That is not a flex because these apartments are horrible to live in now. The first 4 years of me staying here I had no issues with maintenance or the leasing staff or even corporate for that matter. The past 5 years have been pure hell living here. The maintenance men are rude and they don’t respect my home when they’re here. They don’t clean up behind themselves. They will close your service requests as if they fixed the issue and you will have to keep going back in to redo the requests several times before they stop closing it out. Then you will have to call in because so much time will pass without them attempting to see what the issue is. Also it took them over a year to replace my hot water tank and fix my thermo

I just want to thank Lamar for all the things he did to make sure I was comfortable with my move. He is kind and paid attention to all my needs. I like my new place and hope to be here for awhile. even though I'm moved in now if I need anything he hasn't changed. Thank you Lamar for your outstanding service and we need more people like you that actually care and not just trying to fill a unit your great be bless and continue to be as nice as you can be.

I have been staying at Parkside at for a few years now and have constantly had issues with the previous rental team! I considered moving so many times it was ridiculous. I was beyond grateful that our old rental team was dismissed. Giving us our current rental team Ms.Tyra Johnson and Ms. Aleta Robinson was one of the best decisions Parkside had done! When I first moved in I had so many problems dealing with my apartment that was never taken seriously and took forever to be fixed. When Ms. Tyra Johnson and Ms. Aleta Robinson started they handled so many issues within 2 months of being in the office. I am very appreciative and thankful that they are doing amazing things at this property.
