Park Hill Apartments

From my perspective, the biggest issue with Barrington Residential is communication across the board. Questions don’t get clear answers, concerns feel pushed around, and even the systems meant to help tenants don’t really solve anything when it matters. Maintenance is another serious concern. For a long time it looked like one person was doing the work of multiple people — constantly on buildings, handling repairs, changing lights, keeping common areas together, and doing heavy physical labor day after day. You could see the exhaustion, and it was clear help was needed. Hearing that someone working that hard was suddenly let go without any real explanation is hard to understand. Had a confirmed time to tour one of their apartments, I arrived 10 minutes early to my 4:30 appointment, called the office to let them know I was here as the door was locked. The robot answering system picked up and told me to wait for my tour outside the office. I waited 10 additional minutes then called agian this time I got transferred to the leasing office phone, surprisingly, nobody answered. Got transferred again to corporate office and still the phone wasn't picked up. I really hope the ownership here treats their current tenets MUCH better than their prospective tenets, if not I'm deeply sorry for them.

Park Hill Apartments, managed by Barrington Residential, has a serious staffing and communication problem that’s been going on for a long time. Across multiple properties, you constantly see the same small handful of workers stretched thin, traveling from place to place just trying to keep everything running. Watching someone get pushed to complete burnout after giving everything for nearly two years says a lot about how this company handles the people who actually keep things together. On top of that, communication throughout Barrington Residential is extremely difficult. Reaching a real person can take far too long, with automated systems standing in the way and real responses sometimes taking one to two weeks. The place is wonderful love the atmosphere. Park like settings, grounds are well taken care of. Property manager and maintenance are always there to help. If anything ever goes wrong, I’ve always gotten a response.

My fiance and I lived at Park Hill for just over a year while awaiting the arrival of our first child and shopping for our first house. Our neighbors were very neighborly and created a sense of community around us as new parents. Management was very responsive, caring and patient with us as we navigated uncertainties related to the home-buying process. Maintenance is also very responsive and competent. We enjoyed not having to mow the lawn or shovel the driveway during our first year as new parents and as busy young professionals. Would definitely recommend Park Hill to friends and family, as they were also welcoming of our two small canine fur babies.
