In the beginning I loved my apartment. in the past year the quality has gone down while the rent is rising. From fights to the constantly broken gates. Also apartments have had mold problems which was being swept under the rug. I was told to wipe my walls after asking for a mold test. I also experienced a MICE/RAT problem and was told to buy my own glue traps. Until I was forced to take higher action. (They have now but Rat Traps on side the building). Don't even waste your money.

These apartments are overpriced for the value. When I first moved in things were ok and very quiet. Now I see why people are constantly leaving. My air is constantly broken and in the state of Louisiana this means misery. Repairs are never done just patched up. We used to have pest control once a month but now I never see them and yes we have a pest problem. The access gate is always broken so people are always in and out. My car has been broken into twice. Squirrels are always getting into the walls keeping you up at night and the rent goes up every time you renew. Do not waste your hard earned money living here or moving here.

The apartments are small, smell mildewy, and last summer when I lived there my power went out *at least* once a week. One week it went out, I kid you not, eight times. It would take the air conditioning forever to recool the place. Because of the same bad wiring that made the power in the front buildings constantly go out the gate hardly ever worked. We asked if we could be transferred to a building that didn’t have bad wiring and they were going to charge us almost $200 more for the same sized apartment. We were already paying too much for that little one bedroom and decided to leave. It’s going to take more than a new paint job to fix this complex. I’m now living at a complex that’s still close to everything and paying less money for a two bedroom. Go figure.

Well for starters don’t ever get drawn in just because an apartment has been newly renovated. I couldn’t wait until my lease was up, I always had issues because clearly the company did a rush job with the remodeling. Something was always broken and THE WORST were the damn roaches, who wants to live like that. I lived upstairs near the pool (bad idea) my neighbors were loud and you’d see people that weren’t even tenants always coming in to take a dip in the pool. It was just all bad, oh and management could use some courses on how to handle complaints properly. Spend your $1,000+ somewhere else guys.

Rats! Infestation needs addressing for the entire complex but won’t be. Rats are in the walls, attics and units. You can hear them in the attic if in a upstairs unit. I am waiting on an exterminator to come to my unit which is the 4th request I’ve made. I feel like I’m on Jurassic Park trying to go to my living room and kitchen praying to not get attacked by Blue! I used to be proud to live at Parc At Mid City.
