I’m a contractor myself living & working in Hernando County, and I’ll be honest with you - I didn’t even reach out to another builder. I have a lot of friends that are contractors in the area, as well as real estate agents and people in the trades business - and even through my own personal experience talking to my own customers who live in Palmwood homes, I knew that Palmwood construction is the best custom home builder in this town. Just moved in to our new Palmwood home. We want to thank Linda, Lali, Michelle, Wes and everyone else at Palmwood for making the building process as smooth as possible. Ground clearing started in May 2025 and we were in our new home by September 2025. We shopped and visited many builders in the area and they were one of the only ones that would change existing floor plans and add or delete almost anything that was imagined or requested. We purchased the Chesapeake model and basically rearranged the whole inside, moved the kitchen and deleted the study, added a wall here deleted a wall there etc.. Closing on a brand new custom Palmwood home today. It was a quick process and a lot of attention to detail! We are so excited to live in this beautiful home. Palmwood gets it done right. House was built 2018-2019. Nothing but problems. Floors were not “leveled” so vinyl is cracking throughout home . Every door frame warped or damaged . And one not even finished! Inside of laundry room closet is just a gap going into framework of house. Damaged dry wall installed . Crown molding and base boards have cuts that don't line up with corners and were never even attempted to be made to look nice in the least. Corners of rooms look horrible as taping and mudding must have been done right before paint put on. This is just beginning of the issues. Our newest find is the worst yet. NO INSULATION WHATSOEVER in attic. Would not recommend this builder to anyone. This was a paid in full custom build , not financed . I was told any issues would be fixed within first 2 years.
