I lived at this community for two years, and overall my experience was truly great. The layout, location, square footage and neighbors made it feel like home, and I genuinely loved living there. I did experience a couple of major maintenance issues during my time there, including two floods and a fire, and several of my neighbors dealt with repeated flooding as well. The unfortunate part is that the property itself needs more consistent upkeep and investment from ownership or upper management. Since Deon Johnson took over as Property Manager at Oxford at Sonterra, the difference has been truly remarkable. He is a leader of action, not just words. When he commits to something, he follows through — and that has completely elevated the living experience here. For years, issues like the broken mailboxes went unresolved. Under his leadership, brand-new secure mailboxes were installed, restoring safety and peace of mind to residents. He also brought in DILLO Stores, giving us convenient on-site access to essentials — something that shows he is constantly looking for ways to improve quality of life for the community. I moved in November 1 and my experience with Oxford at Sonterra has been nothing but positive. Melanie worked with me to find an apartment that suited my needs, making the leasing process successful. Both Melanie and Myra have been very helpful in getting what I needed done completed. The maintenance crew, Ivan and Sergio, showed up this morning and completed a laundry list full of items noted upon move in. They were friendly and efficient as they removed an old refrigerator, updated plumbing for the new refrigerator, installed a new garbage disposal, fixed the stove, and installed new blinds in the stairwell in addition to other smaller items. The property manager, Deon, has also communicated options for changes that will be made to the current mailboxes during the next few months. I

I had such a great experience at this apartment complex, and I really have to give a special shoutout to Miriam! From the very beginning, she was so welcoming, kind, and professional. She answered all of my questions patiently and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.

So far overall, I've had a great experience from checking out a unit for the first time with Melanie in the front office to Sergio the maintenance technician. We recently moved in and love the community so far. The unit itself is in good shape upon move in. The move in process was simple and they definitely like to touch all bases here, which is greatly appreciated. Maintenance technician was efficient and the work was done well and fast. The community is quiet, which is a plus, and the dog park is also pretty great if you're in need of that.
