Orchard Pointe Apartments

Orchard Pointe Apartments has truly been a positive experience for my partner and me. Since returning in February, we’ve felt welcomed and supported—especially by Nicole, the apartment manager, who is incredibly kind and gracious. After suffering a stroke last May that caused full paralysis on my left side, Nicole has been accommodating and understanding of my recovery process, including working with us through a difficult roommate situation that could have easily gone another way. She showed us compassion and helped us move forward instead of penalizing us, which meant a lot. The community itself is comfortable and has some great features: full-size in-unit washer and dryer (a major money-saver!), a dishwasher, a cozy fireplace for the winter months, and even a pool, hot tub, and gym. I have only positive things to say about Orchard Pointe Apartments and particularly their staff. During a very difficult situation, the manager and team went above and beyond with understanding, empathy, and respect. When a lease situation took an unfortunate turn, the manager showed true compassion, providing options and support when she didn’t have to. Thanks to her kindness and willingness to help, what could have been a devastating outcome was turned into a manageable resolution. The entire staff, including maintenance, were professional and accommodating, even helping with cleanup at no extra cost. A friend had an early morning showing for an apartment, no one showed up. Waited 30min past the scheduled time of the showing and no one was still at the leasing office... nor did they call to follow up. If this is the kind of service you get not even being a resident yet I can't imagine what it's like trying to live here.

Before I start let me just say for the most part our experience here has been wonderful. However, I am giving 3 stars because of the constant notes on a door we get every month before rent is even due. We have paid rent late maybe twice and that's even with letting the leasing office know prior. Every month now we get a notice at our front door reminding us of rent being due BEFORE THE FIRST OF THE MONTH. In my opinion that is distasteful and borderline harassment. As I previously stated, maintenance is great, the community is great, the office people seem nice however, this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. Especially in this economy when families are just trying to keep our head a float. We pay our rent, we pay the late fees, we don't yell and scream all hours of the night. These note

I was there from (Apr 30 2004-May 17, 2005) Karlee and Laura were the best! Maintenance and Upkeep were tremendous. Rent at the time went from $690 to $755 mo. Never a better time to be in PO. They even did stop-bys with new and work-needed tenants. Also an Orchard Pointe weekly flyer put in mailboxes to keep tenants aware of not only upcoming changes but also rules and specifications of tenant life. I know this is a historic review but I would just like to say, “ those were the days my friend!” I hope this place can live up to their previous great track record.
