Olympia Apartments

Lived here for many years and went through a few new owners. The new owners and management is awful. I’ve had my bathtub and toilet overflow with human waste over 6 times 2-3 years. They never tried to resolve the problem. Only upped my rent. I had to clean it up myself, as the maintenance workers were at the other building that the manager helps manage and all the suppose were there. Not only that but there are no security cameras, people smoke in the building and no one picks after their dogs. Would not recommend to anyone especially with how much you’re paying to live there. This isn’t everytime it happened. It’s happened many many times. They also charge a nonrefundable cleaning fee when I had to deep clean the whole apartment when I moved in.

While the building is old, the new owners have been steadily improving things and replacing fixtures as needed and as possible. With the former owners, months could pass before a work order was filled, if ever. Now, any repairs are handled in the same week, if not the same day. My thermostat gave out and an electrician was here the next morning. The only complaints I have are remnant issues from the prior building owners, which are gradually being resolved. The laundry is coin operated and quite serviceable. Studio apartments have mini refrigerators instead of full sized fridges, which is fine for one person. The current owners/managers are very respectful, responsive, and professional. I would absolutely recommend these apartments if you're looking for an affordable place.

Absolutely awful just stay away if you can. The landlord is awful and so are the facilities/units. Would give zero stars if I could. Also has a mold problem in the windows and walls in our experience.

You get what you pay for. Paid a cleaning fee, only to enter an apartment that wasn't cleaned. Landlords could care less about ensuring the lot is properly plowed in the winter, caused a lot of problems with the other tenants as well as myself. Appliances are very old, my oven had two settings: undercooked, or well done. Minifridge is all you get provided. Hot water is sometimes hit or miss.Third floor did stay comfortably warm in the winter, with a low electric bill. My advice, choose this place only if you have exhausted all other options in Marquette.

Absolute horrible living and the new company is a complete joke. I was pestered with phone calls to get my apartment clean and was told that if I dont I wont get my security deposit back. So now two states away I have someone go and clean the apartment EVEN THOUGH they told me to not worry about it cause they are gonna remodel it, that they now are keeping my security deposit and rent cause of how long it took to find someone to clean it. TRASH. The apartments are absolutely garbage and so is the company. DO NOT RENT HERE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR DEPOSIT!!!!
