Old Republic Title

Called multiple times over a couple weeks trying to get a title search for buying a house, left messages, agent never got back to me. Ended up going with a different company.

I have been in the New Mexico real estate business since 1976. I have personally closed hundreds of properties with Maura and her team in this office. Without exception, all were completed with precise excellence and with great professionalism. You will find none better.

Should have read the reviews but it was not my choice to select them. Absolute incompetence! As another reviewer said, how can they still be in business is totally incomprehensible. They "didn't get emails", even when you forward them receipts that clearly show that they did. They lack basic communication skills. If you are unsure about some document, then a competent person would ask and confirm! They lack knowledge of buying/selling real estate. They do not know how to handle HOA documents and cause delays in closing. If I were the seller I would be very wary of anyone who recommends this particular title company.

Worked with Old Republic Title (Academy location) and they were horrible to work with. The communication was terrible and the overall client experience was atrocious. They messed up several documents, including writing the wrong last name on closing documents! They would not return calls and instead I would get email after email that would become very confusing and hard to follow. They had a snappy attitude and it took them a long time to pay some of the outstanding bills the home we purchased had (part of the closing agreement was the sellers paid some bills through Old Republic). The overdue bills accrued more interested that I then had to pay. They slacked on paying the bills but had no problem paying themselves promptly! Horrible experience and I will never go back.

I purchased my first home in March and the team at Old Republic Title were a dream to work with from start to finish. Elishia kept in communication throughout the whole process and answered my numerous questions with patience and kindness. Special thanks to Cory, who saw how anxious I was as I waited for my appointment and went above and beyond to put me at ease. Overall a perfect experience.
