My son and daughter in law just purchased their forever home from Denver Treadway at Oakwood Homes in Shelby, NC. I can’t say enough about how professional and knowledgeable he was with the process and how seamlessly he made it for them. From the day we went to look to the day they got the keys, Denver was there every step of the way. Such a wonderful man that took time and was very patient even when it was me asking questions. I just wanted to tell anyone who is looking for a home about my sales person Denver Treadway. Denver was awesome. He was so helpful in assisting me in finding everything I wanted in a home. He was patient because I was all over the place in trying to make decisions. During the process I felt like he was working in my best interest, and it was so appreciated. If you’re looking to buy a home from a company that’s professional and communicates with you throughout the process, do NOT come here. We were strung along for months, constantly told they were “waiting on the county” to check the property. This dragged on for five months. When I finally called the county myself, I was told it only takes 10 weeks max. Throughout the entire process, I had to be the one constantly checking in. The lack of communication made it feel like I was bothering them just by asking for updates. We started out working with one sales rep who barely answered any of our questions. Hoping for a better experience, we reached out ourselves to a different salesperson, but sadly, the same communication issues continued. At one point, out of frustration, we called the store

STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!! The management at this store is well below sub-par. Our sale started with one rep and was passed along to someone else several times ( without my knowledge or consent), and before you know it, no communication at all. I would give a 0 star if possible. I waited until we were actually in the home before writing this. The manager, Chris, will lie to your face about anything. I was given a rough estimate move-in date of the end of January. It was months after before construction was even finished. Though they kept sending me emails to sign finalizing construction.
