Oakview Apartments

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. Long story short DO NOT RENT HERE! FIND A DIFFERENT APARTMENT COMPLEX! They also own Retreat at Northlake. I was supposed to get back $1,014.83 and only received $224.83 after I was promised I would not have a penalty on my account by the management! Signed up for a 6 months lease. They kept trying to send me a lease for 12 months. I had to repeatedly tell them I only wanted 6 months. Finally got the correct lease and signed. Was in contact with the leasing off about my move in date (which was a Friday). Spoke to them twice before my move in date to confirm. On the day of my move-in they said "oh we weren't sure if you were going to move in today!" When I clearly confirmed twice of the day I would be moving and what time I would be at the offi

When I first moved in they told me a certain amount. I paid that amount and the manager came banging on the door in a rude way. Telling us they gonna change the locks if we don't pay the remaining balance. I get it the gave us the wrong amount but to come banging on someone's door is NOT a great first impression of the apartment complex. I think like a week or 2 later someone was shot in front of apartment complex. I will say 5 stars for how affordable and surprisingly quiet the neighborhood is. But it was roach infested and mice infested. We did get an email saying they would spray but I never seen anyone come out to do so. I would NEVER recommend someone live here EVER. Oakview Apartments is a beautiful place in which to live. Many improvements have been made in the past year, thanks to the new ownership. Interior renovations are being completed, the streets throughout the property have been repaved, and the landscaping has undergone a beautiful facelift. An in-unit washer/dryer rental program is available for residents. Oakview is a great place to call home!

Do NOT rent here ! over priced run down apartments! They display a nice unit and then move you into a terrible environment mold and broken air conditioning Bugs and plenty more issues! Won’t let you out of your lease without a penalty for breaking it but they basically trick you into the lease . I will be looking to sue because that’s thousands of dollars spent by me to have to move my children out of a mold& bug infested unit due to their poor management and maintenance on the community I wasn’t even there 60 days I’m very disappointed

There has been some great improvements at these apartments in the last few months. It's a beautiful, quiet and affordable place. The on-site staff has been amazing! Stop by and see them!
