Oakview Apartment Homes

We moved to Oakview apartments in April 2021, my husband and I agree that this is the best managed place we have lived in since moving to the US from the UK. Not only is the natural landscape surrounding us is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, the apartments themselves and the grounds are kept in impeccable shape. Sarai, the assistant manager, has been so helpful & very quick to respond to any queries. We've only had one small maintenance issue so far and the crew responded the same day, seamlessly and with a friendly smile. If you’re looking for a place with a homey feel in Westlake Village, look no further!

The place is clean and the grounds are nice, but the walls are paper thin. They need to upgrade the entire facility to double pane windows as well. The windows barely block any outside noise. The management doesn't seem to enforce many of the rules either. People store stuff in the car ports. Kids leave their scooters and toys all over the place and many tenants are loud and obnoxious. As a matter of fact, I'm listening to a neighbor singing karaoke right now. And very badly I night add. Last night it was some girls playing beer pong till 2am. Sometimes it's dogs barking too much, etc. I would not stay here again.

I lived in #59 for two years (July 2020-2022) Pros - Spacious unit - Wood-style flooring - Friendly neighbors and management - Responsive maintenance crew - Great location - No burglaries Cons - Sewage water backups in bathtub and sink - Laundry rooms and parking lots could be cleaned more - Coaxial cable outlet in living room not functional - Thin walls - Children - Someone targeted my first carport (car vandalism, trash, storage unit broken into) and it was harder than it should have been to get a new spot I had a good time here overall. If I was in the area again I'd probably choose the Meadows next door. A little more expensive but I like the complex more

Lived here for three years. Nice, pleasant experience! Pros: Close to freeway, grocery stores, park, and gas station. Family friendly place. Maintenance team is quick to fix issues. Lots of parking space as well. Cons: Thin walls and old building.

I am a resident since 2018. Sewage backup is a main issue (happened more than 5 times). Single pane windows, window AC for 2 bedrooms (as on 2023!), very noisy neighbours, not friendly management, cold and hot air always comes in due to old single pane windows, laundry facility in very few units. Water shut off in every other day, lost many Amazon, apria healthcare (medical equipment) packages. Management have no response to the complaints. Will move out soon.
