Nutley Gardens Apartments

I've been a resident at Nutley Gardens for over 10 years and have only positive things to say from the management crew down to the maintenance crew. Whenever I have maintenance issues, the maintenance team is quick at responding. A courtesy call is a plus; they’ll set a time favorable to my schedule. They always handled it promptly and professionally. The management updated many stuffs since I moved here from laundry room, parking area, added EV charger for any electric vehicle and more. They also host movie nights and BBQ for the family. They have a fun, quirky tradition around Valentine’s Day, Easter and host a contest where residents guess how many candies are in a jar. Needs more parking. Ive lived here for 3 years and everything but the parking is great. If you have a car. You either have to pay for a garage (if any are left) or get used to paying $24 tickets every night. The Nutley police do not play about parking in the street and they love rental properties where they can give a bunch at once at 3:30am. There isn’t any crime in this town so they put a lot of their energy into parking tickets. These buildings were built before the zoning laws were established for the town so technically they don’t have to provide any (I talked to the zoning officer and town about the issues). There are -200 apts (combo of 1-2 bedroom) -113-115 parking spots (including handicap & electric car only) -105 paid garages. Another thing is a lot of couples have 2 cars (

I had a mixed experience living at Nutley Gardens for 1 year. Please read this before considering moving here. Let’s start with the negative aspects. If parking is important to you, I would not suggest moving here. It is clear that there are not enough spots for the amount of tenants that live here. Parking is not enforced consistently and their policy is unassigned parking… “first come, first serve.” There are blue parking permit stickers for people without garages and green ones for people who do have a garage. People with green ones frequently park in spots instead of their assigned garages making the parking situation even tighter. Tenants will also park their car and let it sit in the same spot for days. As an electric vehicle (EV) owner, I have encountered a significant issue with the availability of charging stations at this property. The parking lot allows access to anyone, including non-residents, which often leads to the EV charging stations being occupied by individuals who do not live here. This creates challenges for residents with EVs who rely on these facilities. Despite raising this concern with the management, I was informed that they are deliberating on a solution. However, I have not received any updates or communication regarding the matter. If you are an EV owner, I would advise considering this issue before moving here. Other than this concern, the property is well-maintained, clean, and located in a pleasant area.

We lived at Nutley Gardens for 2 years and have only positive things ti say. The apartments are beautiful and spacious, the grounds are clean and the neighbors are friendly. The maintenance team is really quick at responding and the management is very present in the community. Love it.
