Northside on Travis Apartments

I moved in late August and these apartments have been nothing but let down first when they gave me the apartment. They didn’t even clean it. They had it. So disgusting in here. I had to come in here and clean it myself because they didn’t after telling us that the apartment was clean. The air events were completely disgusting through. It looks like there was mold in there, and the maintenance guy only sprayed killz on it. Telling us that that would kill the mold Which it doesn’t. It’s paint primer. They have also been giving us the wrong mailbox for two months now we have the right one then, during the snow storm, their carport fell and hit my car and they don’t wanna take accountability for it or pay any damage These apartments have disappointedme a lot. we just moved in about a month ago and are expecting a baby very soon. the first red flag we have came across while living here is that when we moved i specifically asked if the would clean the apartment before we moved in and they had told me several times that they would and they would have carpet cleaning as well. we got the keys and when we walked in it smelled so bad like cigarettes and mold, the second red flag was they definitely did NOT clean the apartment before…. there was an old toothbrush in are bathroom along with a fake nail and lashes in the carpet and the oven was so nasty. there is mold in are air vents and the person below us smokes inside so it travels up into are space. now i’m 4 days away from my due date and am having to bring my new born home to this and if you want

To add to my previous review of this apartment complex after being told, I had to attempt to file a claim with my renter's insurance company to reimburse me for the food spoilage. However, I was told that they do not cover food spoilage due to a maintenance issue. My next call (which I still haven't gotten a response to after leaving a voicemail), was to corporate, the Myan Management Property group out of Southlake, Texas. They are also the property management group for three other properties here in Sherman. STAY AWAY AND RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK! They will not give you any kind of reimbursement for food spoilage caused by their faulty refrigerator, that took over 14 hours to get replaced. Blatant lying about background checks such as claiming, "you have been to prison, but we cant tell you why or what prison" while charging up to hundreds of dollars for application papers that mysteriously disappear a week later. Stay away from this place

I would not recommend these apartments to anyone. I moved out of these apartments after 5 months of living in them and ended up with an almost $3000 dollar move out bill. I will say I had a 7 month lease however a change in my living situation came unexpectedly. The privacy gate didn’t work for most of my stay at these apartments. I moved into these apartments in November of 2023 and moved out in May of 2024. I only lived in these apartments 3 or 4 days out of the week and only had a air up mattress, a computer desk, a TV, a gaming chair, and a computer monitor in the apartment. I used the kitchen maybe 5 times in my stay. I left the apartment very clean upon move out. I lived in an apartment in the past full time with another individual and did not have to pay a penny after move out. The
