Northgreen Apartments

This place is a nightmare to live in. Police are constantly here, management company nickel and diming people for things a normal apartment includes. NOW, TODAY, I wake up to find over 100 mail boxes broken into. NO SECUTIRY HERE AT ALL. One of the worst places I have lived in my 59 years in Oregon. They will increases costs while lowering the safety and quality of life. They are an absolute disgrace. They only cause problems here, they don't solve them. I included the picture they emailed everyone to show how incompetent they are.

What is the truth about this place? $1,500/month? for a single? What if we do not golf? Or Swim, or have dogs? Or do not want to pay for a parking spot. Heard it was added and non-negosh. Is the Property Security as bad as posted? Including our mail? We got referred, however, we don't need trees and 2 pools. Seems to be the only factor for the $1500/rent. What is up with this place? Such a bad rep., Or we can rent a duplex and divide it for a lot less. It is not advertised as a 'person of age' home. There is no expensive cars in the paid for slots.(as doctors/lawyers). We just don't understand the $1500/month for a studio. We would need a place with more bedrooms. But of course we do not want to know the price of that.

When I lived here, management solicited good reviews from the tenants by offering rewards, so you may want to take the good reviews here with a bit of suspicion. My experience over 4 years was the management is all about greed. They raised the rent every year substantially, near or at the amount allowed by Oregon law. My apartment did not have enough electrical power to reliably power an a/c unit, so the apartment was very hot in the summer months. My request for some kind of remedy was totally ignored by Bennett Mgmt., apparently a violation of Oregon law, I've since discovered. The final straw for me came when an electrical fire started in the wall and melted an electrical outlet, filling my apt with toxic air. They responded two days later and acted as if it happened all the time.

I've lived here over 9 years, and I'm enjoying my "Northgreen" experience. I've got a lovely apartment adjacent to the golf course. The amenities include 2 pools, a Club house, workout room, laundry rooms, and covered parking.The staff are always available to meet our needs and concerns. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The location is convenient. Easy access to the malls, grocery stores, highways, etc.

We have lived at Northgreen for three years now and have really enjoyed the clean apartment complex, nice pool and common spaces, and friendly office staff. Byron does a great job answering questions and is super helpful. The maintenance staff is kind and they promptly fix things! We really enjoy Northgreen!
