My son lived at Birchwood Apartments in Marshall Minnesota.The location is convenient to the college and everything from retail, several grocery options, many restaurants and the heart of Marshall. The day our family was moving our son in to his new apartment, the Manager came to greet us and held the door while we carried in large furniture and then stopped by to check and see how things were going within our first 2 hours.. The entire time we had 2 very simple maintenance items which were addressed both within the hour of contacting the staff and were fixed immediately. The building was clean and the shared laundry area was kept neat.The atmosphere was a great mix of some students , families and young professionals. It was a quiet community with friendly people. We had a great experience with this company. When we were having difficulty trying to find an appartment to rent they went above and beyond to help us. The staff were always prompt and courteous with any issues we had. Abby was always friendly and went out of her way to help with whatever I needed. I have nothing but good things to say about this company.

I live in the meadow Creek apartments and it's my first time ever renting an apartment and let me tell u they made the experience very easy and friendly and I love the apartment it's absolutely gorgeous I feel very at home and have ever since moving here. And Abby over at northern management have taken care of me and my brother on everything from questions to helping guide us through certain situations. And there very understanding and are very down to earth people who honestly see us at...let say the "I've been there and im going to make sure to help u through these trying time" kinda level. Lived at Royal Oaks Apartments in St. Francis and the resident managers were great. The property owner on the other hand is a nickel and diming cheapskate, he charged us $100 out of our security deposit for a black light test which I know couldn't have shown anything. Here's the best part! We had to pay for the whole last month's rent when we were required to be moved out of the apartment by the 25th. That was an extra $175 we had to pay for days that we weren't allowed to be there. We called the property owner and all he could do was keep reciting that the lease stated that we would pay for the full last month. I don't know how he sleeps at night.

Bad communication skills. My on site manager sits in his office watching random videos on his phone all day. Unprofessional company all around. Would not recommend giving them your opinion because they will not listen or try to fix anything you recommend. With a building from the 80's at the Pines location, might as well knock it down and start new. Or not start at all because this is the worst company ever.
