The maintenance team was prompt, professional, and courteous. Truly appreciate the spontaneous response — great job keeping residents happy!

I recently had my apartment painted, new carpet installed and bathtub repainted. I cannot say enough about Pete! He went above and beyond to oversee the painters and carpet installation went perfectly! He communicated with me and made this experience for me stress free. Pete genuinely cares and shows that he takes pride in the work being addressed/completed. He is extremely professional and ALWAYS offers solutions that take care of the issue. I truly appreciated how he took charge and was here to oversee this project! I have lived here 18 years; the apartment was long overdue to be painted, carpet replaced and tub painted. We needed a new refrigerator, spoke with Helen in the office. Jose & Petros were in our apartment the next day with a new refrigerator! Or food hadn’t even thawed out, we lost NOTHING Highly recommend Nieuw Amsterdam to anyone looking for an apartment home! Service is impeccable!

I have lived here for over 5 years and I really love it! Everyone at the front office are friendly and professional, especially Helen she is so helpful and prompt to return my calls/inquiries! The community is so much fun, I love all my neighbors, there's a wide range of age groups which is nice. I feel very safe here, it is well-lit at night and i never feel like i'm in any danger, even very late at night - which as a single lady is very important to me. It is also nice & quiet, there's a no loud noise after 10pm rule which I really appreciate. The maintenence team is awesome, they are always prompt to respond to requests and always do a great job. The amenities are wonderful, with fitness center, free bike rentals, putting green, ice cream truck on summer nights, and the pool which is v
