Newry Mill Apartments

I have nothing but great things to say about these apartments. I lived in the Mill building and loved everything about my unit. The community is warm and welcoming. Maintenance is prompt and does an incredible job when there are issues. Additionally, Magan and Isabell in the leasing office are extremely professional, hardworking, kind and a pleasure to work with. I loved living at the Newry Mill Apartments and am sad to go but would highly recommend these apartments to anyone looking in the area for a an apartment with character in beautifully restored historic building.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but after living here for a while I feel like people deserve to know what it’s actually like. One of the biggest issues is that certain residents seem to think they are in charge of the property and constantly create unnecessary drama for everyone else. There is an older woman who walks the property daily and takes it upon herself to monitor and confront other residents about every little thing. She inserts herself into situations that have nothing to do with her and regularly approaches people with complaints or comments. This has become such a common problem that many residents know who she is by name and actively avoid her. I had a great experience working with Magan during my apartment search. She was professional, patient, and really took the time to answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed or pressured. She explained everything clearly and made the process feel smooth and straightforward. It’s refreshing to work with someone who’s both knowledgeable and genuinely kind. I would definitely recommend reaching out to her if you’re looking for a place.

The staff at this leasing company are consistently polite and friendly during in-person interactions. Conversations are always pleasant, and concerns are met with smiles and verbal assurances that the issue will be reviewed or handled. Unfortunately, those assurances rarely lead to action. Over time, it becomes clear that while problems are acknowledged, they are not actually resolved. Maintenance requests, follow-ups, and ongoing concerns tend to go unanswered or are repeatedly delayed without explanation. Each visit or conversation feels the same: friendly interaction, promises to look into it, and then no visible progress. Horrible communication, horrible management, and horrible maintenance. Avoid Newry Mill Apartments like the plague. The experience has been nothing short of terrible. They only care about rent money, not tenants. There are countless similar stories from other residents. A grandmother without heat for two months last winter. There are no cameras on the property and a homeless couple lives less than 100 feet from Building Two. Do with that as you will. You also can’t access your mailbox 24/7, which is against USPS policy. This place feels like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Don’t bother telling me to “reach out” — I’m a current tenant. Why aren’t tenants allowed to share honest feedback anonymously?
