Newport Landing

Loved the first 2 years here but lately has gone down hill. Was charged $400 for a plumber to come out to fix our industrial toilet after maintenance tried to unclogged it twice. Asked multiple times why we were charged and was told the property manager would contact us which they didn’t. The bill was then added to our rent so we were forced to pay it so we wouldn’t be charged a late fee. My husband then reached out by email once again and no one ever responded.

I’ve lived all over the country, including Maui, Hawaii, and I can honestly say this is by far the best complex I’ve ever called home. The area is safe, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The management team, especially Sarah, is phenomenal—always responsive, helpful, and genuinely cares about the residents. Maintenance fixes issues right away. The pool is clean, well-kept, and a perfect spot to relax. Plus, it’s a quiet community that allows cats, which is a huge bonus for me. It’s close to stores. The people who live here are respectful and nice. It feels like a nice community. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to live.

A great place to call “home.” I live here alone and could not feel safer. It’s a nice touch that my neighbors have loved living here for years and we look out for each other. The location is ideal, being just minutes down Main St. from The University of Akron and shopping off Arlington Rd. Plus the highways (I76, I77, Rte 224, I277) are down the road and malls are a 15-minute commute. It’s a vibrant town in the summer with parks, trails, golf courses and water fun on the lakes. The leasing staff always greets you with a smile, are very helpful and quick to attend any maintenance concerns that arise. The grounds and facilities are well-maintained, workout room is open 24/7 and the pool is a great time for family, friends, and meeting neighbors! Highly recommend, you truly get what you pay

One of the safest communities I’ve ever lived at! I love our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment that overlooks the pond! You can actually sit out on your porch and hear nothing but the birds and ducks. My boyfriend and I have lived here for almost 2 years now. Maintenance and the office have been nothing but kind and understanding. Anytime we have had an issue, they’re out to look at it same day and it’s fixed relatively quickly. I’ve gone months at other apartments without a maintenance requests being fulfilled. An amazing company and I’m proud to live here! You’re close to Portage Lakes and the highway! Perfect for any age as well. I’d give 10 stars if I could!!!

My husband, cats, and I really enjoyed our last year here at Newport! The price is competitive, but you get a lot of "bang for your buck." It's within walking distance to the lake, an ice cream shop, and a sports park. The location is nice as it is quiet but close to the highway for easy travel. Neighbors are friendly, and there are many people walking or running in the neighborhood. The complex includes access to a decent-sized pool in the summer, a billiards room, and a workout area. The gym has one elliptical and 3-4 treadmills, free weights, and a multi-workout machine that can target arms, back, and legs. Staff is easy to get ahold of and maintenance responds quickly to all requests, even non-urgent ones. They are always looking to keep the area up to date including keeping the roads
