New Point Miami

The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms are dated and not very clean. There was no working vent in the shower, so the whole room stayed very damp and the walls showed signs of water damage, moisture, and potential mold. The swimming pool is very nice, large, and warm (January traveling). The faucet had black gunk where the water comes out so we used a bottled water to wash our face and brush teeth. The restaurant had amazing breakfast for what looked like good prices, but for two breakfast sandwiches, two sodas, and a smoothie, it was $80 as they charge a card fee if you don’t pay cash. There aren’t many places in walking distance but it’s still right on the beach so that is good. Late checkouts are nice as you can pay to leave at 3 or 8pm. Positive: Room was clean and the beach was nice. Negative: The valet and check in process was a disaster, no direction long lines indifferent staff made the experience frustrating.

I haven't been here 10 mins and would give anything if I could get a refund and go somewhere else. First of all, the "free parking" is valet parking only. As I'm in a company vehicle, I'm not suppose to let anyone drive it, plus they were nearly about to turn me away because of that fact. I get it completely but was miss led by that. For a non smoking facility, I nearly got a contact high by walking through the lobby. Get to the room, wifi doesn't work and I'm having to sit by the window to use my phone. Go to shower and long hairs everywhere. Bed is uncomfortable, picture online showed it was a balcony room I was looking forward to after a 14 hour workday. But nope. Just a window. Very misleading and this place suckered me out of money.

We stayed here through a condo rental service and while our unit was clean and affordable - this location is definitely out of the way from where a lot of hustle bustle is. The elevators didn’t work for most of our stay, strange noises at all hours were common, and the entire building definitely needed maintenance. Wouldn’t recommend it! There was a cool Russian Turkish bath in the building and beach access, but if you can, stay elsewhere.

We stayed in the penthouse via Airbnb. The view was excellent, with great bay and downtown Miami sunsets. The pool and beach access were also nice. Unfortunately, the building itself is very dated and worn out. It looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 80s or 90s, and there was a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the common areas. Overall, the property feels neglected. One of the biggest concerns was safety. The elevators had posted inspection certificates that appeared to be expired by several years. Regardless of how common that may be locally, it does not inspire confidence when using them with your family. The penthouse unit itself had multiple issues.
