Monticello at Powhatan Apartments

I stayed at Monticello Powarhan apartments for 2.5 months when I visited my son. I am very impressed with the facility. Very conveniently located, well maintained facility. Excellent common area in the leasing office and very good functional gym. Staff is very responsive and helpful.

Monticello at Powhatan is a wonderful apartment community with beautiful surroundings and a welcoming atmosphere. The amenities are a huge plus — especially the fitness center and pool during the summer months. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always quick to assist, whether it’s a maintenance request or general questions about the community. Logan, the property manager, is especially professional, knowledgeable, and truly cares about creating a positive living experience for residents. Every interaction has been pleasant and efficient, and it really makes living here enjoyable. I’m very happy with my decision to call Monticello at Powhatan home and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to live.

My mother lived here for four years and things were fine at first then the AC issues started. Her air conditioning was continuously out or leaking. The unit never adequately worked. It leaked so badly at one point water was running over the electrical panel and she was having to empty buckets through the day. Her bedroom closet was flooded and though maintenance helped move everything out, there was no assistance to move her items back even though she is 74. They showed an impressive level of incompetence throughout her stay and never fixed the damaged drywall in her laundry room from the repeated damage.

We were promised so much when we moved in… The only staff I trust there are McKenzie, maintenance and the concerige trash. Ari gave us a different address that is already rented. The manager did a wellness check on me and I appreciated that and she was kind. We are permanently disabled and they didn’t even apply the fair housing act. There is radon on the marble counters. We were also supposed to be given discounts on all utilities and no wonder the electricity costs a fortune! We have been having to use a mattress pad to barricade the door so the draft doesn’t come in and out. Our WiFi is being piggybacked by other neighbors. The mailboxes are not secure. The neighbors are friendly enough however have no compassion to my illnesses. I had a systemic UTI and neighbors raged on me for lettin

This is a great place to live. First of all, the inside and outside of the house are well-organized, comfortable, and safe. The people here are so nice and kind. Geographical conditions are good, so there is a market place within a 5-minute walk, and within a 15-minute drive, there are several historic sites, William & Mary University, regional library, art museum, Colonial Williamsburg, and beautiful golf courses. Above all, the community center staff who manage this place are so friendly and great, from manager to maintenance staff. In particular, Vivianne, an assistant manager, has warmly welcomed us from the day my family and I first moved here, helping us settle in Williamsburg. I'd like to thank her. My family and I would like to come back here if we can live in Williamsburg again. O
