Monterey Place Apartments

I scheduled a tour and they confirmed it through 2 emails and like 6 separate text reminders. I show up for the tour and no one is anywhere to be found. Leasing office is behind a locked door with all the blinds closed. I call 3 different numbers listed and all went to voicemail. No feasible excuse for this. After this horrible experience, there’s not a chance I will consider living here. That is, if they ever actually do get back to me.

So far it’s been fine. We had major concerns soon after we moved in due to the somewhat negative reviews…but location was quite ideal so we took our chances. Our experience so far has been mostly positive. No encounters with unhoused individuals. No plumbing or electrical issues so far. Management has been quite responsive. Had an appliance breakdown in the first month and it was handled promptly. Will agree that apartments are modern spacious and quite nice but the details are not quite there (misaligned cabinets, and several other cosmetic issues that you wouldn’t expect from relatively newer apartments at this price range). Location is great - really enjoying this part of town. Rent is a bit high for what it is but concessions when we moved in were 6 weeks which seems pretty fair

Save yourself the stress. DO NOT MOVE HERE! To start these apartments are beautiful but $2000+ with utilities and NO amenities. The showers are small and water leaks all over the floor. Parking is only for one vehicle unless u want the other one towed... even if u have a 2 bedroom. The staff are happy to get u to sign a lease then they could care less about you. Door locks broke, homeless people vandalize cars as there is no gate, they also break in and sleep in the elevator lobby. They say they have security which I've seen drive by once a month walk around and leave. Breakers can't hold much power. No smoking. And a lot of rules not explained until the day of signing. We just moved out of Monterey Place Apartments the end of May. We were the first ones to live in the property after being built. Our stay was a year and 6 months. Apartments looked nice but soon after moving in... you can tell it was done cheap. Our walls were not durable, paint moved and peeled immediately by just touching it or something would rubbing against it. They did not properly paint the units or finish them. This was talked to management and maintenance... they said it was known across the facility... we wouldn't be reliable for it. Do to the walls being poorly done we used Command Strips, n NJo nails or screws in any of the walls (this still pulled paint from the walls). Our Dishwasher would not drain correctly and would flood (apartment 101 also had the same issue) I never use

I left a bad review a while back. Since then Management was able to help my family relocate to a safer side of the complex. We were also given $171 credit to our account as a courtesy. We left the prior unit professionally cleaned by Maid o Matic & normal touch up paint in the Master bedroom where our headboard was & also in the living room where our tv was hung. We were also told our full deposit $500 would be transferred to our new unit so I am pleased that were were finally heard, addressed & treated with respect. Positive Customer Service skills definitely go a long way especially in property management. Customer Service will definitely keep the great reviews & renewals . Ty!
