Montecito Pointe Apartments

The apartment had multiple problems that even when brought attention to, were not fixed. Chips in the plastic vinyl counter tops, shredded carpet tearing from the floor, water damage on the roof of the balcony, and so much more. In the year I lived there, there were 5 water shutoffs for repairs. The employees have a high turn over rate, meaning every time we tried to sort anything out with the property, I had to talk to a new receptionist and explain everything all over again. The staff weren't happy to help either. They hung up on us multiple times after putting us on hold. They were so disorganized during the end of our lease that they had no idea where they placed our keys and charged our account for not returning the keys that we gave to them. I love this community and our apartment. My partner and myself moved in towards the end of September and it was a fairly easy process. Kai is always welcoming and very professional, as is everyone else in the front office. The only gripe I have is with the tenants who can’t be bothered to pick up after their dogs. There’s many grassy spots that are completely littered with dog waste even though there are signs all over saying to pick up after your dog. They even provide free dog waste bags outside for use but, apparently, some aren’t able to read. Other than that small issue, this community is pretty amazing and we love living here. It’s close to shopping, many restaurants and it’s a fairly quiet neighborhood. Thanks for everything!

You know that good feeling you get when you sit in the jacuzzi or poolside in the sunshine? Well you can't get it here because the gates are always chained up and you can't get in the pool, especially on the weekend. There are actually scrape marks from where residents have to jump over the wall to get into the pool area. How absurd!!!! I've lived here 5 years and I have to actually drive down the street to my old apartment complex to use their pool most of the time. Also, the girls in the office are lazy and rude and can't find your amazon packages that have been delivered to the office. They literally can't do their job and its pretty obvious they don't care. I never leave bad reviews but I'm fed up!!!!!!!

Wow, after reading all the recent reviews I feel the need to share my disappointment as well. Yes, they tried to tell me that the apartment reaching 80 degrees at 9pm is normal for the apartment & I needed to pay for repairs. This was after the 3rd time complaining about it. I had to find other accommodations for my children the days I went without AC. I placed the work order, left a message, and nothing. I finally went in to speak to someone, only to find out hours later nothing was done when I got back. They had me using a portable for days, apparently it's making way from apartment to apartment. Nothing was updated when I moved in, I have 2 months left, can't wait to leave. Parking is dark, lights have not been replaced. I'm still waiting for my filters to be replaced, made 3 request

I would give them 10 stars if it allowed me to, but first, let me start by saying that I have been here almost a year April 7, and when I moved in it was owned by another property management company. If the previous management company still owned the property this 5 star review would not happen. With that said, when RK Properties took over they had a lot on their hands to deal with, I won’t get into that, but they took on a challenge. Since then, the property manager Nick Bressler and his wonderful staff, have turned this place around and it is so beautiful now, I LOVE living here. I love my apt, the view of the pool, the smell of cleanliness and the friendly nature of this place now. They’re always accommodating, friendly, helpful and overall very nice people.
