Montecito Apartments

I've have been living here for almost a year and have nothing but good thinv to say. Love the neighborhood, easy access to main highways and the apartment are really nice. Everyone in the office is real helpful and I will be signing a new lease.

Avoid at all costs. Worst apartment complex I ever lived in. The maintenance team never responded in a timely manner. We had roaches all the time. I also was forced to live in my space with water damage that damaged my couch and dining room set, which also took over two months to fix. They did not compensate for the power they required for a dehumidifer to run non stop until it was finally fixed. I asked to leave early and break my lease since my apartment was not habitable with the water damage. The fee to pay breaking my lease was sent to collections even though I was told it was taken care of due to my outstanding circumstances. I have been in Austin for over ten years and have never had such a negative experience like I did with Montecito. Again - avoid at all costs.

Monticeito has gotten so much better this year. The office has become a friendly place and Jes and Andreana are both great at their jobs. Also, Matt and Reuben do a great, quick job with maintenance. Julian is always a friendly face to greet me. I have lived here many years, and appreciate this team ! We had a wonderful Halloween party last night and it exceeded my expectations by a mile. Thanks to all of you for the great job you do.

I looked at almost every apt complex in Austin with a similar price range and am happy I went with Montecito. No issues with bugs (view the actual unit you’d be living in to ensure), great neighbors, responsive maintenance and I feel safe here. Every one looks out for each other and it’s an awesome place to live if you have a dog. Mabel Davis trail is directly behind the complex and that is the biggest selling point: the wildflower field in the spring/summer is so beautiful and a nice way to start your day if you have a pup to walk before work.

Montecito deducted $200 from our deposit for "cleaning" when we left, even though we cleaned the apartment thoroughly and it looked cleaner than when we moved in.
